5 artists bid farewell to Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection on the brink of its closure, using the DS music-making software that made good use of its features - WarioWare D.I.Y. - to craft their goodbye songs.

The original plan had been to distribute this compilation exclusively via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection and shared Friend Codes, making it available only until the cut-off date of 20th May 2014. Then we realised that would be even more difficult than first expected, and the plan was abandoned.

Still, we awkwardly connected to NWFC to share songs with each other, and made use of this fun feature while we still could. You too can share in this magic, if you have the right tools and sufficient dedication; our Friend Codes are below, and you can send us your code via the links provided, for a few more weeks at least. Good luck.

Those of you with the wrong gear or living in the future, do not fret - recordings of these songs have been conveniently gathered and presented here for your safe enjoyment. Hear this music and know that Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection was a thing, and that WarioWare D.I.Y. is pretty cool.
